The Applications of the Tungsten Carbide Flexible Welding Rope

Description

Cast tungsten carbide Flexible welding rope is made with cast and self-fluxing nickel alloy on the nickel wire. The cast tungsten carbide powder crushed or spherical has an irregular shape, high hardness about 2200HV0.1, and excellent wear resistance. The self-fluxing nickel alloy powder has a spherical or nearly spherical shape with cast tungsten carbide.

The welding layer has an extremely effective protection against erosive and abrasive attack. It is highly recommended using in mining, drilling and agricultural equipment as well as chemical and food processing industries.

Chemical composition

Cast Tungsten Carbide 65% + Self-Fluxing Nickel Alloy 35%

Cast Tungsten Carbide 68% + Self-Fluxing Nickel Alloy 32%

Or other different composition percentages.

Tungsten carbide flexible welding rope for oxy-acetylene welding. The weld deposit possesses excellent abrasion, erosion, and corrosion resistance. Perfectly suited for hard facing mixer blades, scrapers, and screws in the ceramic, chemical, and food industry; stabilizer blades and drilling heads in the petroleum industry; impellers of waste gas fans and hard facing on various ferritic and austenitic steels used in severe wear environments.

Weld deposit characteristics:

The weld metal consists of a NiCrBSi matrix (approx. 450 HV ) with embedded spherical fused tungsten carbides. The extraordinarily high hardness, toughness, and volume of these tungsten carbides along with a nickel-chrome matrix ensures excellent abrasion, erosion,,n and corrosion resistance. The hard facing is highly resistant to acids, bases, lye, and other corrosive media and severe wear environments.

The electrode has excellent flow and wetting characteristics at a low welding temperature of approximately 1050 °C (1925 °F).

Recommended uses and Typical applications

1. Mixer blades, scrapers, and screws in the ceramic, brick, chemical,l and food industry

2. Stabilizer blades and tools for oilfield equipment

3. Drilling head and tools for deep drilling equipment

4. Intensive mixer tools in the  foundry and steel industry

5. Screws in aluminum smelters and waste recycling industry
