Cutting tool

Tungsten-titanium-cobalt is suitable for processing long chips in steel and other ferrous metals. In the same alloy, what has more cobalt is suitable for roughing, and what has less cobalt is suitable for finishing.

Mold material

Cemented carbide is mainly used for cold wire drawing dies, cold forming dies, cold extrusion dies and other cold working dies.

Under the conditions of wear-resistant work under impact or strong impact, tungsten carbide dies should have good anti-polishing toughness, fracture toughness, fatigue strength, bending strength, and good wear resistance. In general, the relationship between wear resistance and toughness of carbide is contradictory, an increase in wear resistance will lead to a decrease in toughness, and an increase in toughness will inevitably lead to a decrease in wear resistance. Therefore, when choosing a grade of tungsten carbide, it is necessary to comply with specific requirements for use, based on the objects of processing and processing conditions. If the selected grade easily cracks and damages early, it is recommended to use a grade with high toughness. If the selected grades are easily damaged by wear, it is advisable to select a grade with higher hardness and better wear resistance.

Measuring tool and wear parts

Tungsten carbide is used in easy-to-wear surface and measuring tool parts, precision grinding machine bearings, and wear parts such as guide plates and guide rods of centerless grinders, and lathe centers.
